Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Compounding Specialist to join our team at Topaz HR Advisory. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the compounding and preparation of sterile intravenous medications for long-term care facilities and patients.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in sterile compounding, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare setting. They will demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques and sterile compounding procedures, as well as strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sterile intravenous medications according to established protocols and procedures.
  • Perform routine inspections and quality control checks to ensure the integrity and sterility of compounded medications.
  • Monitor inventory levels of compounding supplies and medications, and assist in the ordering and stocking of pharmaceutical products.
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines governing pharmacy practice, including USP standards for sterile compounding.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in sterile compounding, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in aseptic techniques and sterile compounding procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation and documentation.
