Sterilization Specialist

Compensation: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
Job Description:Key Responsibilities
- Process and sterilize medical equipment and instruments for daily use.
- Collect and sort used and contaminated equipment for decontamination.
- Operate and maintain decontamination equipment.
- Prepare and package decontaminated supplies for sterilization.
- Examine equipment meticulously to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization.
- Routinely test and report issues with sterilization equipment.
- Sterilize and prepare equipment for medical procedures.
- Deliver necessary equipment and instruments for procedures.
- Maintain records of sterilization procedures and equipment maintenance.
- Monitor inventory and supplies.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of relevant experience preferred.
- Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
- Good judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Manual dexterity and ability to handle fragile equipment.
- Technical skills and familiarity with sterilization techniques.
- Ability to work well in a team or individually.
