Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Planner II: Land Use and Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Montgomery County Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in planning or a related field and a strong background in transportation planning, with a focus on land use and infrastructure development.

The Transportation Planner II will be responsible for producing subdivision and land development reviews, working cooperatively with other staff, the general public, and local officials, and managing multiple tasks to meet deadlines and organize information. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $65,000 and $90,000 per year, depending on experience. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a passion for transportation planning, we encourage you to apply.

About the Job

This is a full-time position that requires a valid driver's license and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing regulatory and policy language for various transportation planning issues, authoring and producing transportation plans, studies, reports, and other planning-related documents, and assisting MCPC staff and partner agencies on issues of alternative and multi-modal transportation.

The ideal candidate will also have strong analytical, organizational, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to use state-of-the-art business and audio-visual equipment.
