Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality client service, coordinating the auditing of financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables to meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Assess risk and design audit procedures to engage teams, ensuring timely and effective delivery of services.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, providing coaching and guidance to ensure the development of their skills and capabilities.
  • Manage multiple engagement teams, preparing end-of-engagement evaluations and monitoring productivity and adherence to work plans.
  • Maintain client relationships, understanding the impact of significant developments on their business and assessing their impact on current year audit engagements.
  • Develop others within the firm through training, advising on career development, and participating in firm initiatives.
  • Anticipate and address client concerns, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Understand RSM's lines of business, services, and opportunities to make valuable introductions to clients.
  • Develop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the firm to effectuate business growth.
  • Manage profitability of projects, identifying and communicating accounting and auditing matters to senior managers and partners.
  • Ensure professional development through ongoing education and staying up-to-date with the latest developments affecting GAAP and firm standards and policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting or equivalent degree.
  • CPA or CA certification.
  • 5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
  • Understanding of audit services, GAAP, GAAS, and FASB or IFRS regulations.
  • A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
  • Minimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A successful record of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagements.
