Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

JFS at Home is seeking a qualified Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide specialized services built on integrity, compassion, social responsibility, and humanitarian values.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and supportive individual to join our team in providing personalized care to elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries, or accidents. As a CNA, you will be responsible for assisting with personal hygiene, providing reminders for medication, and helping with mobility and daily living activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide reminders for medication and help with medication management
  • Assist with mobility, including transfers to commode or toilet, bed to mobility assistance equipment
  • Help with planning and preparing meals and assist with physical therapy exercises
  • Complete client's shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
  • Perform light housekeeping duties and report any unusual incidents
  • Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
  • Offer activities that are essential for daily living, including serving and other tasks, if necessary
  • Record and report activities related to personal care responsibilities, as required
  • Respond promptly to client requests
  • Document all client-related activities in a timely manner
  • Participate in performance improvement in services
  • React to change productively and perform other job-related tasks and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation every single day - must have Bodily Injury Liability coverage in auto insurance policy
  • Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
  • Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends (Flexibility with 4 hour shifts preferred)
  • Prior experience in a healthcare, hospital, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver, CNA License and 24 hours current CEU's
  • Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
