Industrial Operations Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

As an Industrial Operations Manager at Autokiniton, you will be responsible for providing key input into the development of departmental strategic goals and identifying measurable objectives to support these goals.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and colleagues to improve the efficiency of operations.

• Analyze workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data to determine effective utilization of the workforce and equipment.

• Lead project teams in root cause analysis, team problem-solving activities, and continuous improvement activities.

• Recommend methods for improving the efficiency of the workforce and reducing waste of materials, equipment, and utilities.

• Coordinate new work and engineering changes to ensure operational needs are achieved and jobs meet engineering standards.

• Understand machine throughput analysis and capacity planning.

• Support plant activities towards achieving customer awards and quality registration.

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the plant.

• Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.

LEADERSHIP/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify, select, train, and coach engineering talent.

• Provide model behavior to demonstrate corporate values.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.

• Minimum three years of related technical, hands-on experience.

• Evidence of working knowledge of formal problem-solving techniques.

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

• Demonstrated expertise in production assembly environments.

• Computer literacy and good knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

• Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

• Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.

• Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS, WORK ENVIRONMENT, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Duties include but are not limited to stand, walk, twist, bend, lift, see, talk, and hear, with an ability to travel. When visiting plant site locations, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, vibration, or hazardous materials.
