As a key member of our national mitigation and resilience practice, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from hazard mitigation planning to climate adaptation and resilience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement hazard mitigation plans for communities and counties, utilizing your expertise in risk assessment, climate hazards, and federal/state funding mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with local governments and stakeholders to facilitate meetings, outreach, and community engagement.
  • Interpret and communicate complex data and risk assessment results to clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage large data sets and develop decision support tools to evaluate impacts and identify mitigation projects.
  • Conduct capacity building activities, including strategy development, community engagement, and training.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning, Sustainability, Climate Change, Resilience, Public Policy, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in hazard mitigation and resilience planning, with a proven track record of project management and technical writing.
  • Strong network in the mitigation and resilience space, with experience in business development and client relationships.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office software.
