Position Overview
This role is situated within the Military and Family Support Center, focusing on providing essential support to children and families.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Clinical Support (50%)
    Deliver assessments and short-term, solution-oriented counseling services to eligible children, individuals, couples, families, and groups. Manage specialized assessments and interventions for at-risk youth identified through various channels.
  • Case Management (35%)
    Execute Family Advocacy Program (FAP) case management duties, including receiving initial reports of suspected child and spouse abuse. Ensure compliance with all relevant directives and reporting requirements.
  • Community Liaison (15%)
    Act as a liaison with local, state, and federal agencies to enhance the education and prevention programs related to clinical counseling and family advocacy services.

Key Qualifications
Applicants should demonstrate experience and knowledge in the following areas:
  • Understanding of military lifestyles and their impact on families.
  • Ability to present sensitive information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in recognizing and assessing mental health disorders.
  • Knowledge of various counseling methodologies and family dynamics.

Educational Requirements
A Master's degree or doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required. A current and valid state clinical license is also necessary to function as an independent health practitioner.
