The Program Manager for Augmented Reality Software Solutions will play a pivotal role in one of the most innovative product lines in the tech industry, focusing on the successful delivery of AR products. As a Software Program Manager, you will oversee the development of new software experiences, product functionalities, and platform capabilities for next-generation AR devices. This role demands a highly skilled leader with a blend of technical expertise, program management acumen, and strong leadership abilities. We seek individuals who are enthusiastic about transforming complex technologies into reality, who excel at motivating teams, building cross-functional relationships, and advocating for effective processes to ensure seamless program execution in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage intricate cross-functional program execution within a large matrix organization, collaborating with product management, user experience, software engineering, hardware, firmware, quality assurance, and data science from initial development stages to customer launch.
- Formulate and maintain comprehensive program plans, coordinating across various organizations and domains to guarantee timely delivery.
- Lead launch and release initiatives concerning end-to-end software features and deliverables.
- Drive and shape technical strategies, proactively identify potential risks, develop mitigation plans, align priorities, and set direction for a broadly cross-functional area.
- Establish best practices along with key performance indicators to ensure project success. Design, build, and scale solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain ongoing communication regarding planning, program status, issues, and risks in a timely manner to stakeholders. Simplify complex topics into clear communications for program stakeholders and executive management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of experience as a technical program manager, engineering manager, or product manager, leading software development initiatives.
- Proven track record of delivering technical programs or products from conception to completion.
- Understanding of software and hardware product development methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering innovative software technologies.
- Experience in defining and improving software engineering processes at scale.
- Proficient in team leadership, decision-making, and presenting to large audiences.
- Experience in developing or working directly on various aspects of large-scale distributed systems, including client-server interactions, scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with software development for consumer devices.
- Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Experience with augmented reality technologies.
