The Opportunity

As a One Medical Lab Services Specialist, you'll provide exceptional patient experiences and help them accomplish an important part of their care journey by providing venipuncture and other clinical support services. You'll work closely with our diverse team of providers and administrative assistants, utilizing the highest quality standards to perform specimen collections and processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide best-in-class venipuncture services for patients of all ages
  • Perform and assist with extended scope duties, including non-blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs
  • Maintain high standards of in-office care through proper specimen labeling, handling, and processing, inventory upkeep, and tool sterilization
  • Continuously care for patients beyond the lab room by answering messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting providers and virtual medical teams with clerical duties
  • Master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to interact with team members and complete daily work
Requirements
  • An active phlebotomy certification to practice in CA and at least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside of a training/externship environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams, with additional experience with remote teams a plus
  • A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
  • A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks
  • Experience with extended scope care, including non-blood specimen collection and processing, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs, preferred

Compensation

The base hourly range for this role is $22.75 to $24.75, based on a standard full-time schedule. Total compensation packages may be based on factors unique to particular candidates, such as skill sets, depth of experience, and work location.

Work Environment

This is a full-time role (40 hrs/week) with 8 hr shifts generally taking place between 9am-5pm based in our Culver City office.
