About the Position

The San Diego Medical Examiner is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Planning Specialist to support the implementation of the Multiple Species Conservation Program (MSCP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide biological expertise to support the implementation of the MSCP and affirm biological resources, survey and/or research results.
  • Review and analyze biological resources survey reports and resource management plans prepared by consultants.
  • Develop and implement long-term MSCP planning documents and management and monitoring strategies for plant and animal species on Medical Examiner properties.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology with a concentration in wildlife and/or botany from an accredited U.S. college or university.
  • Two years of professional level biological experience as it relates to land use/environmental planning, or equivalent experience as an Environmental Planning Specialist within the San Diego Medical Examiner.
  • Master's degree in Biology with a concentration in wildlife and/or botany from an accredited U.S. college or university, and one year of professional level experience as described above, or equivalent experience as an Environmental Planning Specialist with the San Diego Medical Examiner.
