Job Responsibilities:

As a vital member of our team, you will:

  • Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and healthcare personnel in a professional manner.
  • Conduct interviews with patients or guardians to accurately gather and record necessary information for the admission process.
  • Maintain electronic medical records with precision.
  • Support the Billing/Coding Technician in posting patient charges and adjustments.
  • Answer and transfer incoming calls courteously.
  • Schedule patient appointments using clinic scheduling software, adhering to established guidelines.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; one or two years of college or business school preferred.
  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Typing skills of at least 40 words per minute; computer proficiency is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, families, and physicians.

Work Environment:
  • Frequent personal interaction with staff, patients, families, and the public.
  • Work is conducted in a clean, well-lit, climate-controlled environment with minimal hazards.
  • Requires dexterity and coordination for various tasks.
  • Involves sitting, standing, and moving within the office and hospital.
  • May require light to moderate lifting of medical records.
  • Work may be repetitive with frequent interruptions.
