The Helix School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission by designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive fundraising strategies.

About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with neurodiversity. As our Development Manager, you will work closely with our Director of Development and leadership team to meet annual fundraising goals through a combination of individual giving, major donor cultivation, grant writing, events, and corporate partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual goals
  • Cultivate and steward relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and individual donors
  • Write and submit grant proposals to secure funding for our programs and services
  • Plan and execute fundraising events, including galas, donor receptions, and community outreach events
  • Manage and maintain donor databases and fundraising software to track donor interactions and contributions
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on fundraising activities, donor engagement, and revenue projections to the Director of Development, Director of Finance, Facilities and Technology, and the Executive Director
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field
  • 5-7 years of proven experience in nonprofit fundraising, with demonstrated success in donor cultivation, event planning, and securing gifts
  • Proficiency with fundraising databases and donor management software
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling donor communications and marketing materials
  • Experience working with corporate partners, individual donors, and volunteer boards
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, visual content creation, and marketing strategies
