Job Summary

Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of New York seeks a highly qualified and experienced Site Supervisor to lead the Expanded School Day Program for Prek for All and 3K for All programs at Incarnation School in Manhattan, NY.

The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of Positive Behavior Guidance, guide staff in weekly program planning, and supervise staff in providing a program that meets the varied needs of the children and families served by the program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the implementation of Positive Behavior Guidance, as per PFKA/3K guidelines
  • Guide staff in weekly program planning and oversee implementation of plans
  • Supervise staff in providing a program that meets the varied needs of the children and families served by the program
  • Conduct daily walk-throughs, model best practices, and provide formative feedback to staff
  • Keep school principal and Director of the School Day PKFA/3KFA program informed and report to Director
  • Use student and program assessment data to work with staff to meet the needs of all students
  • Work with the Director and School admin on timely completion of all paperwork relating to PKFA/3KFA

Requirements:

  • Current New York State Teaching Certification in Early Childhood or Childhood Teaching (required)
  • At least 3 years of experience as a teacher with classroom experience, including 3 years of experience as a lead teacher in an Early Childhood classroom (required)
  • Experience working successfully in an inclusive and diverse work environment
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to be trained)
  • EpiPen administration trained (or willing to be trained)
  • Bilingual language skills preferred

Core Competencies:

  • Successful teaching and leadership experience as an early childhood educator
  • Familiarity with the NYC Department of Education PKFA/3KFA policies and procedures
  • Knowledge and understanding of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold
  • Commitment to identify and investigate enrichment opportunities to bring into the program
  • Understanding of and respect for the developmental, cultural, and linguistic diversity that is part of the richness of the NYC early childhood landscape
  • Ability to lead and coach guide staff in providing students with opportunities to explore interests and creatively apply what they are learning through modeling and collaborative planning
  • Commitment to leading staff in providing rich and meaningful family engagement support and resources so as to promote the extension of learning in the home
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, verbal, and written communication skills

Work Schedule: 2-6PM every day school is in session from September to June.
