Join Our Team as a Construction Management Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Management Intern to join our team at Marathon Petroleum Corporation. As a Construction Management Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects, applying the principles learned in Construction Management/Project Controls classes to various projects within the facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Apply construction management principles to various projects, working with contractors and other construction specialists in the specialized industrial construction of projects.
  • Plan and schedule materials, labor, and equipment for construction, tracking and analyzing costs and comparing to control budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with document control procedures and processes, preparing documents that provide an audit trail of major project decisions and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Assist with bid preparation, award, and contract administration, monitoring and reporting of contractor productivity, progress, and performance.
  • Prepare schedule updates and critical path analysis.

Qualifications

  • Desired majors include Construction Management, Construction Science, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Project Management, or Engineering.
  • Strong academic performance.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Availability for multiple work terms is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Concurrent enrollment in a degree-seeking program.
  • Pay: $25.54-34.32/hr.
