Job Overview

Position Summary

Nuvance Health operates a comprehensive network of healthcare facilities, including hospitals and outpatient centers, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to create and adjust individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Administer advanced therapeutic interventions, utilizing independent judgment, particularly in critical care settings.
  • Conduct thorough physical assessments and diagnostic evaluations to assess respiratory function.
  • Implement treatment protocols involving oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Connect patients requiring ventilatory support to appropriate equipment.
  • Provide education to patients regarding the use of respiratory devices and prescribed medications.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; completion of an accredited Respiratory Care program.
  • Eligibility for registry or possession of Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials.
  • New graduates are welcome; however, a minimum of one year of clinical experience in Respiratory Care is preferred.
  • Must hold a valid New York State license or permit.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization.

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule. The role involves night shifts, requiring flexibility to accommodate rotating holidays and weekends.
