We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team at WMCHealth, providing exceptional patient care in the fast-paced Emergency Room environment. As a critical member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse medical needs.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of one year Med/Surg experience, preferably with two years of critical care or emergency room experience. You will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Perform thorough and ongoing holistic nursing assessments, identifying current and potential problems to develop individualized plans of care that address patient needs and concerns.
  • Patient Care/Discharge Planning: Collaborate with patients, support systems, and healthcare teams to meet present and discharge needs, implementing plans of care upon admission or within 24 hours.
  • Teaching: Provide individualized, ongoing teaching to patients and support systems, utilizing evidence-based practices and critical thinking skills to empower patients with knowledge and self-care strategies.
  • Communication: Demonstrate mutual respect and collaboration when communicating with interdisciplinary teams, using effective communication skills such as active listening, relationship building, and assertive communication techniques.
  • Treatment/Procedures: Perform treatments and procedures in accordance with established policies, procedures, and patient care standards, collaborating with MDs and healthcare teams as needed.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Current New York State Registered Nurse license required.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum one year Med/Surg experience, preferably with two years of critical care or emergency room experience.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, based on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
