Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in the Emergency Room at HealthAlliance Hospital. As an accountable professional, the RN exercises autonomy, authority, and control to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Perform thorough and ongoing holistic nursing assessments, identifying current and potential problems, and developing individualized plans of care that address patient needs and concerns.
  • Patient Care/Discharge Planning: Collaborate with patients, support systems, and healthcare team members to meet patient needs and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Teaching: Provide individualized, ongoing teaching to patients and support systems, utilizing current evidence-based practice.
  • Communication: Demonstrate mutual respect and collaboration when communicating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, conveying a strong sense of advocacy and protecting patient rights.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, currently licensed in the State of New York, or permittee.
  • Minimum of one year Med/Surg experience preferred; minimum of 2 years critical care or emergency room experience preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred.
Compensation

$42.41-$64.41 hourly range, offering competitive compensation and benefits for our valued employees.
