Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Intervention Specialist to join our team at YAI. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive behavioral support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify the behavioral and habilitative needs of individuals, using person-centered tools and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Develop and implement individualized habilitative and behavior support plans, incorporating evidence-based treatment interventions and strategies.
  • Collaborate with direct care staff and management to ensure effective implementation of clinical interventions and data collection.
  • Provide training and mentorship to staff on clinical matters, including behavior management and data collection techniques.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case reviews to ensure comprehensive care and support for individuals.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a clinical or treatment field, such as psychology, social work, or applied psychology.
  • Documented training in assessment techniques and behavior support plan development.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours, and travel to multiple programs as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with individuals at all levels.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and electronic health records.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based approaches, such as ABA, CBT, and DBT.
  • Current certification in Strategies for Crisis Intervention and Prevention (SCIP-R or SCIP-R Restrictive) and CPR.
