Job Summary

The Maintenance Director is responsible for overseeing the maintenance department, supervising staff, and ensuring the upkeep of buildings and equipment. This role requires strong leadership and technical skills to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the maintenance department, including supervising staff, assigning work, and evaluating performance.
  2. Ensure the upkeep of buildings and equipment, including repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections.
  3. Manage the department budget, including participation in establishing the annual budget and performing annual department inventory.
  4. Develop and maintain a written preventive maintenance program and conduct scheduled maintenance of employer-owned automobiles.
  5. Oversee grounds maintenance, including snow removal, salt application, and lawn care.
  6. Coordinate set up and tear down of special events.
  7. Attend meetings, conferences, and seminars as assigned and participate in events as assigned.
  8. Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and maintain all required licensure and certifications.
  9. Meet all job safety requirements and applicable OSHA safety standards.
  10. Comply with all Corporate Compliance Policies and the Code of Ethics.
  11. Participate in customer relations with appropriate and professional behavior and attire.
Requirements
  1. OSHA-SDS sheets and procedures.
  2. Fire and safety procedures.
  3. Proper care and maintenance of lawns, trees, shrubs, and other plants.
  4. Function and operation of kitchen appliances and office equipment with the ability to do minor repairs.
  5. Understanding of and ability to repair minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry problems.
  6. Drywall repair and painting.
  7. Completion of secondary education.
  8. Supervisory experience required.
  9. Experience in maintenance required.
