Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing mechanical engineering support to ensure that our mechanical process equipment is effectively designed, installed, operated, and maintained to maximize its lifespan.
Key Responsibilities
The Mechanical Reliability Engineer will:
- Serve as a technical resource for mechanical process equipment, collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to enhance equipment reliability.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of operational processes to facilitate effective troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Offer technical field support during equipment installation and commissioning.
- Conduct routine evaluations of spare parts to ensure availability and readiness.
- Establish and uphold standards for equipment repair, inspection, and acceptance testing.
- Lead critical equipment repairs, providing oversight and coordination.
- Conduct site inspections and witness critical equipment repairs and testing.
- Define specifications for equipment and components, focusing on reliability and performance.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs, utilizing technologies such as vibration analysis and thermography.
- Analyze equipment failures to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in the selection and installation of new equipment to support project execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational requirements in mechanical designs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of two years of relevant industrial experience in maintenance or reliability engineering.
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies, including oil analysis and vibration monitoring.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in troubleshooting mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in standard software applications, including Microsoft Office and CMMS programs.
