Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our Apple Audio Hardware Reliability Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the durability and reliability of our audio hardware products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement creative reliability tests on new hardware programs
  • Quantify reliability risk and support failure analysis resulting from these tests
  • Advise the executive team on the best path forward
  • Oversee reliability testing, including mechanical stress tests, shock/drop/vibration testing, and environmental testing
  • Develop new reliability tests procedures and specifications
  • Prepare concise and detailed test plans and analyze test reports
  • Statistically analyze data to provide design risk assessments
  • Present tests, results, and risk assessments in a confident and positive manner to management and executive teams
  • Research new technologies to understand unique failure mechanisms
  • Guide design and interact with diverse groups to improve product reliability
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field and 3+ years of experience in a related field/industry or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and curiosity of how technologies work
  • Capable of handling multiple projects at once
  • Dynamic engineer with a proactive attitude and desire to work closely with domestic and international cross-functional teams
  • Statistical experience such as Weibull, JMP, or familiarity with accelerated test models
  • Familiarity with Failure Analysis techniques (Optical Microscopy, X-ray/CT, Scanning Electron Microscopy/Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy, etc.)
