We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our Apple Audio Hardware Reliability Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the durability and reliability of our audio hardware products.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement creative reliability tests on new hardware programs
- Quantify reliability risk and support failure analysis resulting from these tests
- Advise the executive team on the best path forward
- Oversee reliability testing, including mechanical stress tests, shock/drop/vibration testing, and environmental testing
- Develop new reliability tests procedures and specifications
- Prepare concise and detailed test plans and analyze test reports
- Statistically analyze data to provide design risk assessments
- Present tests, results, and risk assessments in a confident and positive manner to management and executive teams
- Research new technologies to understand unique failure mechanisms
- Guide design and interact with diverse groups to improve product reliability
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field and 3+ years of experience in a related field/industry or equivalent work experience
- Ability to travel internationally
- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and curiosity of how technologies work
- Capable of handling multiple projects at once
- Dynamic engineer with a proactive attitude and desire to work closely with domestic and international cross-functional teams
- Statistical experience such as Weibull, JMP, or familiarity with accelerated test models
- Familiarity with Failure Analysis techniques (Optical Microscopy, X-ray/CT, Scanning Electron Microscopy/Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy, etc.)
