About Rocky Mountain Prep

Rocky Mountain Prep is an expanding network of pioneering public charter schools dedicated to serving students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade in the Greater Denver Area. Since its inception in 2012, RMP has grown from a single school with 130 students to four schools, currently supporting over 1,800 scholars across two districts. Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant Principal of Operations plays a vital role in steering a school-based operations team towards ambitious objectives. As an integral member of the school administrative team, reporting to the School Principal, and collaborating with Assistant Principals of Instruction and other staff, you will work closely with the network operations team to identify and implement systems that enhance operations across the RMP network. At the school level, you will lead your team towards excellence.

Role Mission:

In partnership with the School Principal and the Director of Operations, the Assistant Principal of Operations will establish and manage outstanding operational practices at a Rocky Mountain Prep campus, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education in a safe, supportive, and aesthetically pleasing learning environment.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Building a highly effective operations team that supports continuous improvement through regular feedback.
  • Maximizing learning time with an average daily attendance of 96% and efficient attendance tracking systems.
  • Ensuring full enrollment with minimal student attrition through effective recruitment strategies and high family satisfaction.
  • Maintaining facilities that foster learning and reflect RMP's culture of love and rigor.
  • Creating safe and secure school environments with clear maintenance procedures.
  • Ensuring accurate and accessible scholar and family data for timely responses to needs.
  • Fostering family engagement aligned with RMP's vision.
  • Managing resources responsibly to remain within budget while driving school-wide goals.
  • Coordinating timely assessment logistics to support effective instructional adjustments.
  • Maintaining operational excellence through established processes for ongoing responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years in an operations role, preferably within an educational context, with a proven track record of redesigning processes and implementation plans.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Experience engaging with community members and families, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A strong drive to create efficient systems and processes, with a focus on achieving outcomes.

Compensation:

  • Salary range: $85,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience.
