Ochsner Health seeks a highly skilled Advanced Practice Clinician to join its medical team. As an integral part of the outpatient clinic, this role will work collaboratively with residents, fellows, attendings, and staff members to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume primary and urgent medical management responsibilities, including emergency stabilization of critically ill patients.
  • Teach residents and medical students, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Develop and implement staff education programs, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
  • Provide patient education and discharge planning, ensuring seamless transitions.

To succeed in this role, you should have a Master's or Doctorate degree as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or a Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant medicine or Health Sciences from an approved program. Relevant working experience, preferably 3 years, is also essential. Certifications such as Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association and eligibility for Prescriptive Authority in your state of practice are mandatory.

Requirements

This position requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, proficiency in Windows-style applications, and various software packages specific to your role. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think critically, and make sound decisions is also crucial. Reliable transportation and flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, are essential.
