About the JobJob DescriptionThis role requires a Master's degree in nursing and current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
- Providing primary and urgent medical management, emergency stabilization of critically ill patients, and teaching residents and medical students
- Maintaining an attitude of inquiry towards medical practices and patient care outcomes, and developing research methodology
- Adapting behavior to specific patient populations, including respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, and adapting explanation of services or procedures
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
- Master's degree in nursing
- Current licensure as an APRN in the state of practice
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Eligibility for prescriptive authority in the state of practice as outlined by the State Board of Nursing
