Job Title: School-Based Physical Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our school-based team in Akron, OH. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in physical therapy and experience working with students with physical and mobility challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluation and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students' needs related to physical and motor skills, including mobility, balance, and coordination. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support students' educational and functional goals.
  • Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines and other school activities.
  • Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
Qualifications:
  • Doctoral or Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid Physical Therapist license or certification in Ohio.
  • Experience working in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
