Job Title: Quality Inspector

Summit Polymers is a leading Tier 1 Automotive Supplier of automotive interior systems.

We are seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting and verifying the dimensional, appearance, and effort qualities of various plastics, molded parts, and assembled parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and verify dimensional, appearance, and effort qualities of various plastics, molded parts, and assembled parts.
  • Set up and use various test instruments to determine compliance with company quality standards.
  • Read and review blueprints to determine compliance with customer and company standards.
  • Label, reject, accept, or place holds on parts and material that are acceptable/unacceptable.
  • Bring unacceptable material, parts, and assemblies to the attention of workers and supervision, so corrective action can be taken.
  • Visually examine material, parts, and assemblies to verify compliance with customer and company standards of appearance.
  • Manually check assembled parts to assure proper functioning in accordance with customer and company standards.
  • Work as a team player on the floor and in problem-solving meetings.
  • Perform as an Auditor.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
  • Must have ability to follow oral and written direction and work independently in accord with standard procedures.
  • A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional score of 16 on the cognitive portion).

Travel Requirements:

This position typically does not require any travel.
