Hiring for a Critical Care Nurse Specialist in Spartanburg, SC. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a high-performing team at a Level 1 trauma center.

About the Role:

This position offers a chance to work closely with patients who require medium to high acuity care, monitoring vital signs, IV drips, and other key indicators. You will administer medications, implement complex treatment plans, and ensure that medical orders are carried out accurately and promptly.

You will collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care. Educating patients and their families on managing acute or chronic conditions is also a crucial aspect of this role.

Maintaining timely and accurate patient records is essential, adhering to hospital and departmental policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized care for patients with medium to high acuity needs
  • Administer medications and implement complex treatment plans
  • Closely collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
  • Educate patients and their families on managing acute or chronic conditions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or higher
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
  • At least one year of experience in stepdown/progressive, neurology, cardiac, or another medium to high acuity setting
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
  • Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and other advanced nursing care practices
