Critical Care Nurse Specialist for Long-Term Acute Care

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care, providing exceptional care to patients in our LTAC MS/Tele unit. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

Job Description
  • Certification Details: ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support, BLS - Basic Life Support, NIH Stroke Certification (if applicable)
  • Job Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care nursing

• First-timers accepted

• Weekend requirements: As needed

• On-call requirements: Yes; See below requirements for holiday coverage

• Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs

• Local radius rule: 75 miles

• Pending License accepted with condition

• RTO must be included on the initial submission

• Attendance policy: More than two shifts per 13-week contract may be subject to contract review for cancellation

• Must pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day

• Shaving for fit test may be required

• COVID-19 Vaccination or declination required

Schedule Information:

  • Guaranteed Hours: Based on signed contract hours
  • Contract likely includes on-call and weekend shifts
  • RTO must be noted upfront

Unit Specific Information:

  • LTAC MS/Tele specialization
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4-5 when possible
  • Floors may range from 22 to 28 beds

Additonal Details:

  • Parking Cost: None
  • Must pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day
  • EPIC Test out offered for those with recent EPIC experience
