POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Sales Associate plays a crucial role in assisting Management in fostering a customer-centric and product-oriented sales atmosphere, where our core values and guiding principles drive all store operations. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Results Orientation

Achieves company sales targets by employing effective sales techniques and sharing product knowledge with customers; suggests merchandise options or assists in locating items based on customer preferences.

Stays informed about current promotions and sales; upholds pricing and visual presentation standards.

Ensures compliance with merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Participates in visual merchandising initiatives, including monthly store setups and maintenance.

Customer Experience

Exemplifies and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.

Addresses customer concerns promptly and effectively.

Facilitates a quick and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about policies related to payments, coupons, returns, exchanges, security measures, and other operational procedures.

Encourages additional purchases at checkout, including gift card sales.

Enrolls clients in the rewards program.

Builds and nurtures a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.

Maintains an up-to-date understanding of current product fits and styles available in-store and online.

Ensures consistent communication with clients through the customer book.

Operational Excellence

Assists in replenishment efforts to keep the store well-stocked and inviting.

Supports locate fulfillment processes.

Contributes to visual merchandising tasks, including floor sets, window displays, signage placement, and more as directed.

Helps maintain boutique cleanliness and organization.

Team Collaboration and Development

Encourages an inclusive and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Seeks opportunities for personal development and actively seeks feedback.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred experience in retail or sales.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Able to learn and adapt to technology utilized by the company.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and management.

Regular attendance is essential to ensure adequate coverage for company objectives. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Constant walking/standing throughout the shift.

Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of the shift).

Frequent climbing (34%-66% of the shift).

Compensation for this position starts at $12.50/hour or the applicable city/local minimum wage. Store associates may qualify for incentive compensation based on various factors, including store sales and performance metrics. Chico's FAS, Inc. reserves the right to modify incentive compensation at its discretion.
