Position Overview:

The role involves sourcing scrap metal from various industrial suppliers. The candidate will be responsible for fostering new and nurturing existing client relationships. A key aspect of the position is the ability to identify potential leads, assess their viability, and successfully close sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source scrap metal from industrial suppliers and dealers.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Ensure retention of profitable accounts while adhering to pricing strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance profit margins with current clients.
  • Address and resolve customer service issues both internally and externally.
  • Complete necessary documentation to meet organizational deadlines.
  • Travel as required to secure business opportunities.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience in sales or scrap procurement.
  • Familiarity with scrap pricing, material identification, operational costs, and logistics.
  • Proven ability to generate leads, qualify prospects, and close sales.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with SAI is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule, including travel.
  • Must pass background checks and other assessments.
