Position Overview:
The role involves sourcing scrap metal from various industrial suppliers. The candidate will be responsible for fostering new and nurturing existing client relationships. A key aspect of the position is the ability to identify potential leads, assess their viability, and successfully close sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source scrap metal from industrial suppliers and dealers.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Ensure retention of profitable accounts while adhering to pricing strategies.
- Identify opportunities to enhance profit margins with current clients.
- Address and resolve customer service issues both internally and externally.
- Complete necessary documentation to meet organizational deadlines.
- Travel as required to secure business opportunities.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience in sales or scrap procurement.
- Familiarity with scrap pricing, material identification, operational costs, and logistics.
- Proven ability to generate leads, qualify prospects, and close sales.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with SAI is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule, including travel.
- Must pass background checks and other assessments.
