Job Overview
Colonial Behavioral Health is dedicated to providing recovery opportunities for individuals and their families dealing with mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and developmental disabilities. Our services cater to the residents of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County.
We are seeking a qualified Clinician IV to join our Adult Outpatient team. This role involves delivering direct therapeutic services to individuals, families, and groups who are facing co-occurring substance use and mental health or developmental disability challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage primarily with service members, veterans, and their families through in-person sessions or telehealth platforms.
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, diagnoses, and develop service plans for the target population.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation, including report writing and maintaining health information records in both electronic and manual formats.
- Act as a consultant for colleagues and community organizations regarding assessment, diagnosis, service coordination, and referrals.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Standard business hours from Monday to Friday.
Hybrid work schedule (Remote/On-site) based on program requirements.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficient in treating co-occurring disorders, with knowledge of group counseling methods, family dynamics, and motivational interviewing techniques.
- Ability to create comprehensive, recovery-focused treatment plans in accordance with agency standards.
- Capable of maintaining a professional and composed demeanor while interacting with individuals and groups in high-stress situations.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience working with individuals facing serious mental health and/or developmental disabilities.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
- A Master's Degree in a human services discipline is required.
- Must possess a valid license from the Board of Counseling or the Board of Social Work (LPC, LCSW, LCP, LMFT, or LSATP).
