Job Opportunity

Regional Neonatal Associates, in partnership with University Physicians' Association, is seeking a skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care in our Level III NICU and well-baby nursery. The ideal candidate will collaborate with physicians to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patient care, while maintaining strong communication skills and adhering to established standards and practices of medicine in Tennessee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans and assess patient health conditions.
  • Document patient findings and actions in the medical record.
  • Schedule testing and procedures as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Monitor patient progress and modify care plans as needed.
  • Review lab results and other testing.
  • Transport critically ill neonates.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect sensitive health information.

University of Tennessee Medical Center (UTMC):

  • State-designated Regional Perinatal Center for East Tennessee.
  • Level IV Obstetrics Unit with over 5,000 deliveries annually.
  • Level III NICU with 65 beds and an average daily census of 45.
  • UTMC is a 710-bed academic medical center, Level I Trauma Center, and Magnet-recognized Hospital.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
