Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Intern to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will play a vital role in providing technical support in the delivery of pharmaceutical care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process prescriptions and prepare medications for delivery
  • Review patient charts for specific information and audits
  • Stock and order drugs and other products
  • Assist patients and clients in ordering and picking up their prescription orders
  • Perform technical work and tasks allowable by Iowa law for a Pharmacy Intern under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current enrollment in a pharmacy school or program or proof of verbal commitment to a pharmacy school or program
  • Registered as a pharmacy intern with the State of Iowa at the time of hire or registered as a Technician in Training for up to 12 months until able to apply for Intern status after first day of pharmacy school or program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire
  • Proof of completion of mandatory reporter within three (3) months of hire
