Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Transmission Line Engineer to join our team in Metairie, Louisiana. As a key member of our Transmission & Distribution Division, you will be responsible for designing electric transmission, sub-transmission, and distribution lines. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the safe and efficient transmission of electricity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design conceptual routes, layouts, preliminary and detailed designs and specifications for high voltage transmission lines and/or distribution lines
  • Plan and profile sheets, staking sheets, bills of materials (BOM), and stringing charts
  • Design criteria, pole loading drawings, framing drawings, and construction drawings
  • Terrain models, structure loading calculations, and as-built revisions
  • Provide construction support, review and provide Quality Assurance (QA) for project engineering deliverables
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university - Civil or Electrical Engineering Degree strongly preferred
  • Civil or Electrical Professional Engineer (PE) License (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
  • 3+ years transmission and/or distribution line design experience
  • Proficient in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, MFAD, and MS Excel
