Role Overview:

Our client, a leader in the environmental consulting sector, is seeking a dedicated Manager of Environmental Oversight to join their team. This role offers the flexibility of working from home 2-3 days a week, while also providing the option to be based in either Northern or Southern California. As a key player in a rapidly expanding firm, you will report directly to the President and have a significant impact on departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the department, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development within the team.

  • Provide constructive feedback and address issues promptly.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration and optimize workflow and productivity.
  • Identify areas for improvement and potential challenges.
  • Develop data-driven solutions and strategies in consultation with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in environmental-related fields (educational qualifications included).
  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated management experience is essential.
  • Willingness to work on-site 2-3 days per week and travel approximately 20% is required.
