FSQA Technician Job Description

Aspire Bakeries is a leading North American baking company with a strong presence in the specialty frozen baked goods market. The FSQA Technician plays a critical role in our team-oriented FSQA process, ensuring the quality and safety of our products. This includes conducting food safety and quality sampling, testing, and completing required documentation to meet our Integrated Management System Program (AIMS) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct product tests and take immediate action to correct products that are out of specification, documenting all findings accurately.
  • Demonstrate and enforce the importance of Critical Control Points (CCPs) and rigorously monitor production processes, following up with necessary actions to eliminate deviations.
  • Make decisions to stop production or place product on hold when products are out of specification, following hold procedures as necessary, and effectively communicating with supervision on all production stoppage events.
  • Notify supervision in a timely manner of any unapproved changes made to product settings that could negatively affect quality.
  • Make important observations about product, packaging, equipment, and environment, taking appropriate actions to correct anything that is not up to Company or third-party regulations.
  • Demonstrate and enforce the importance of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and monitor diligently, following up with necessary corrective actions when not being followed.
  • Monitor all equipment settings to ensure they are correct and accurately record findings.
  • Work on the Production line in a variety of positions in between QA duties.
  • Train line leads to be the primary Q.A. technician backup in their absence.
  • Follow rules and regulations to ensure food safety, quality, and legality.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED; some college science courses or experience in the food industry preferred.
  • 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Ability to operate scales, metal detection and imaging devices, ovens, and other instrumentation and measuring devices.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Must be 18 years of age.

Shift: 1st

Hourly Rate: $19.50

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed in this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. We provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.
