Job Summary:

Williams Plumbing / Civil Construction is seeking a highly skilled Division Manager to oversee the efficient execution of residential projects while maintaining profitability. This role involves managing various aspects of operations, including financial performance, resource allocation, personnel management, and driving business growth within the assigned division.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve divisional goals and objectives in alignment with the company's overall vision and mission. This includes monitoring monthly P&L statements, analyzing financial data, and implementing strategies to ensure profitability. Additionally, the candidate will supervise project managers and superintendents, providing guidance throughout all phases of preconstruction and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve divisional goals and objectives
  • Monitor monthly P&L statements and analyze financial data to ensure profitability
  • Supervise project managers and superintendents, providing guidance throughout all phases of preconstruction and construction projects
  • Manage project schedules, manpower, and other resources effectively to optimize project efficiency and meet client expectations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly
  • Oversee billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in invoicing
  • Conduct in-depth reviews of project contracts, subcontracts, and agreements to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of project managers and superintendents, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the mechanical contracting industry, with a strong understanding of preconstruction and construction processes
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, P&L statements, and financial forecasts
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving objectives
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing mechanical construction projects
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite
