Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide top-notch customer service at the service desk, including opening and closing procedures, phone answering, and point-of-sale transactions.
  • Promote and sell memberships and ancillary services, such as personal training, massage therapy, and nutrition services.
  • Schedule appointments via our core business software, including reminder calls and cancellations.
  • Ensure accurate balancing of drawers, credit card, and check policies, and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Enroll members via contract, explaining membership details, obtaining signatures, and providing member handbooks.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments via radio.
  • Work towards achieving satisfaction metrics, such as Secret Shops and Member Survey scores.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, with an average of 5 working shifts per month.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of related experience or training preferred.
  • 2-3 years of sales, reception, and computer skills preferred.
  • CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work with members in a positive, service-based manner.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain a controlled and professional demeanor.
  • Proficient computer skills.
