Receptionist Job Description

Community and Family Resources is seeking a skilled Receptionist to provide exceptional clerical and client services for our Ames location. As the first point of contact, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting and Directing Visitors: Greet visitors, determine the purpose of their visit, and direct them to the appropriate staff member or counselor.
  • Phone and Email Management: Answer and direct phone calls, respond to emails, and maintain accurate records of client interactions.
  • Client Intake and Data Entry: Prepare and complete admission placement screening forms, compile documents for client intake files, and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support, including typing memos, correspondence, and reports as needed.
  • Office Maintenance: Maintain the overall appearance of the office, including client and staff amenities.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: One year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
