Receptionist Job Description

McFarland Clinic is seeking a skilled Receptionist to join its team in Ames. As a key member of our front desk staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring a positive experience for patients and visitors.
  • Manage patient scheduling, including greeting, instructing, and providing information as needed.
  • Process patient payments and handle administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure seamless communication and patient care.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of work experience in a medical office setting preferred.
  • Keyboard and computer skills, including proficiency in medical terminology.
  • Ability to work a rotating Saturday schedule and occasional weekday hours.
