Job Title: Licensed Psychiatric Technician

Job Summary: Penn State Health is seeking a Licensed Psychiatric Technician to provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Observe, report, and record medical information and nursing care provided in the electronic medical record.
  • Instruct patients and families according to the teaching plans.
  • Communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of individualized patient care.

Requirements:

  • Currently licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact or eligible for licensure in state of employment.
  • One (1) year of LPN experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to completion of orientation.
  • Act 31 training completion required within 45 days of hire.
