Job Summary

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled LPN/LVN to join our team as a Per Diem Licensed Psychiatric Technician. As a member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients under the direction of a registered nurse or provider.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Observe, report, and record medical information and nursing care provided in the electronic medical record.
  • Instruct patients and families according to teaching plans.
  • Communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of individualized patient care.

Requirements:

  • Currently licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • One year of LPN experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to completion of orientation.
  • Act 31 training completion required within 45 days of hire.
