Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist Level I to join our team in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient operating room environment, adhering to aseptic surgical techniques.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing essential support and equipment as needed.
- Transport patients and equipment, utilizing proper lifting and pushing/pulling techniques to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain and check the working condition of equipment, ensuring sterility and sending damaged items for repair.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care, adhering to age-specific needs and departmental policies.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
- No experience required, but excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
