Surgical Technologist Level I

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist Level I to join their team in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.
Job SummaryThe Surgical Technologist Level I will be responsible for providing a clean, safe, and efficient environment for surgical procedures. This includes preparing materials, supplies, and equipment, as well as maintaining aseptic surgical techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain a sterile field, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
- Anticipate the surgeon's needs and pass instruments and supplies as needed.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment in the operating room.
- Perform various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Must be able to withstand a very stressful and fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
- Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
