Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Verdesian. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our plant facilities, equipment, and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform welding fabrication, including layout and design, and repair of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance and emergency/unscheduled repairs on plant facilities, equipment, and machinery.
  • Assemble, install, and/or repair electrical on three-phase and single-phase circuitry.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Replace or repair defective equipment and parts.
  • Perform minor building repair and upkeep.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary.
  • Inspect, operate, and test plant facilities, equipment, and machinery.
  • Procure and maintain an optimum inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies adequately organized in storage.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Ability to be fit-tested and don a mask.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Reliable presence and promptness on premises.
  • Ability to communicate with Supervisors, Associates, and Contractors for work projects.
  • Project management including task sequencing, resource management, scheduling.
  • Specialty skills such as welding, carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc.
  • Researching information, decision-making, and problem-solving.
  • Performing general physical activities, handling, and moving objects.
  • Able to work well with others and organize own activities.
  • Complete all jobs with a sense of urgency and cooperation with others.
  • Exhibit superior safety practices every day evidenced by outstanding housekeeping at all times.
