Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support our residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care).
Job Summary:This role provides hands-on care and support services for our adult short-stay patients at our spacious care center TCU in Edina, MN.
Responsibilities:- Assists residents based on individual care plans with personal cares such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers, and responds to call lights.
- Nursing Assistant may per community patient care model check and record vitals.
- AM/PM cares, including peri care and catheter care.
- May turn, lift, or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance.
- Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner.
- Charts or documents in electronic medical record system.
- Seeks to resolve resident and family concerns.
- Receives and gives report to appropriate staff during various times in work shift.
- Other duties such as order and cleanliness in rooms and work areas, reports malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answers phones in a timely manner.
- Active as Nursing Assistant, Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date – OR – Individual who is hired into Ebenezer's Nursing Assistant Course or Ebenezer's Pre-CNA job for Nursing Assistants; will be granted a 4-month post-hire to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
- Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population.
- Communicate efficiently, with empathy and understanding for residents and coworkers.
- Experience working as a HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant.
- Work experience in a customer service setting.
