We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. This is a 60-hour per two-weeks position on the night shift, with 12-hour shifts and every third weekend. The role is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more.
Responsibilities- Assist professional nurses in delivering patient care, transporting patients and equipment, and setting up and maintaining patient rooms.
- Reorder and stock supplies as needed.
- Provide basic patient care, including personal grooming, bathing, toileting, feeding, skin care, oral hygiene, specimen collection, and positioning.
- Accurately take and record weights, input/output, blood pressure, temperature, pulse rates, respiration, and oxygen saturation.
- Report unusual findings to the RN in a timely manner.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge of patients.
- Orient patients and their families to the environment.
- Transport patients, equipment, specimens, and supplies.
- Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required.
- One or more of the following: successful completion of Fairview's OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program, six months of recent direct care experience, current enrollment in an LPN, RN, or Nurse Practitioner program, or current certification on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
