Lead Avionics Integration Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Avionics Integration Engineer to join our team at Relativity Space. As a key member of our Avionics team, you will be responsible for leading the design and integration of electrical systems for our Terran R rocket.
Your primary focus will be on system-level electrical and harness design, system channel configuration management, and system-level integration and test activities. You will collaborate with partners in electrical design, propulsion, fluids, and other disciplines to define system-level electrical requirements and trade system architecture and design solutions.
Key responsibilities include designing avionics harnessing and supporting secondary structure, drafting and executing system and vehicle level integration and test plans and procedures, and leading a team of engineers.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in an electromechanical design or integration engineering role. Additionally, you should have 1+ years of experience leading a team of engineers.
Nice to have skills include experience writing and executing system or vehicle level integration and test campaigns for complex systems, basic programming skills for automation or data analysis, experience with tools for electrical troubleshooting, and experience with 3D computer-aided design (CAD) software and wire harness design utilizing an electrical/harness design software.
We offer a competitive salary and equity package, a generous PTO and sick leave policy, parental leave, an annual learning and development stipend, and more. Our hiring range for this role is $138,000—$169,000 USD.
