Job Summary

This role provides primary administration and support of data and analytics related applications used at Early Warning. The position serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for data applications and ensures they remain current and serve the needs of Early Warning users.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as owner and primary administrator of assigned application(s).
  • Provide application and system support to all employees for assigned application(s).
  • Troubleshoot issues, providing expert level support, and resolve or escalate them as needed.
  • Architect the application(s) to meet business needs, establish integration with other applications, and set best practices for administering and securing application(s).
  • Monitor application performance, evaluate, and optimize it.
  • Promote job automation using scripts and other tools.
  • Implement solutions to meet customer or business needs.
  • Analyze and configure 3rd party applications, document their implementation, and provide support.
  • Analyze application incidents to identify root causes and work with vendors to implement solutions.
  • Improve existing processes to increase efficiency and implement changes as needed.
  • Work with stakeholders to establish measurable key metrics, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • Evaluate vendor-provided upgrades and patches, ensure successful installation, and validate them.
  • Monitor license usage and budgeting for licensing costs, provide metrics on anticipated needs during budget cycles, and submit procurement requests when additional licenses are required.
  • Process change requests for modifications to application configurations.
  • Maintain an application roadmap and collaborate with leadership to prioritize projects.
  • Provide timely and accurate status reports.
  • Manage projects to build new functionality, workflows, processes, and/or reporting in the application, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, user documentation, and training.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation for assigned application(s), including policies and procedures.
  • Drive user adoption across the organization through training and best practices.
  • Maintain relationships with vendors to resolve application issues and inform future releases that meet Early Warning's needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience as an application administrator in an enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with data domain applications like Tableau, Business Objects, Infoburst.
  • Experience with database applications such as MSSQL, Hadoop.
  • Deploying applications to hosted cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with management and staff.
  • General knowledge of office productivity tools like Windows OS, MS Office, Visio.
  • Familiarity with applications like JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Workday.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting vendor-provided applications.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and have strong attention to detail.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position in Phoenix, AZ is $122,500.
